Janesville police are looking for a dog that bit a woman in Prairie Knoll Park on Monday morning.

The dog is described as having long, white hair and floppy ears.

The owner of the dog is described as a white male in his late 60s to early 70s. He was wearing a baseball cap and glasses.

The man had a conversation with the woman and then left the area in a late model, extended-cab, four-wheel drive pickup truck. The truck is red in color and has a license plate similar to GM9234.

The woman told police she believes the man might be associated with the dog park or at least might be a frequent visitor there.

Anyone who can identify the dog or its owner is asked to call the Janesville Police Department at (608) 755-3100.

Interesting because my grandson was running with my 2 dogs, and the agressive dog ran at him.

Please, I don't understand how you could jump to any other conclusion. Agressive dogs should be kept out of dog parks or at least kept on a leash to ensure the safety of everyone including the dogs, their owners, and their families. END

It may not always be the dog's fault but I have heard many stories of it being the dog's fault and the person not doing anything to provoke it. I think people should keep their dogs home if they are agressive. And what's with the guy just leaving?

hannah: In this case it was a woman, not kids.
Maybe she made fun of his "floppy ears". Anyways, I hope she's okay.

I just hate hearing this sort of thing. I took my dogs and 2 of my Grandkids to this same dog park with me last Tuesday. 1 of my Grandkids was bitten although not seriously blood was drawn. Please people keep your aggressive dogs at home so the rest of us can enjoy the park!

If they have the plate number, why don't they just go to his house and pick up the dog? It's not like the cops don't have access to that info. Jeez...
