Middleton tennis defeats Janesville Parker
Janesville Parker High School fell 6-1 to dual champion Middleton on Monday to conclude the regular season in Big Eight Conference boys tennis.
The Cardinals finished 9-0, while the Vikings wound up 4-5.
“We had a nice year,” Parker coach Mike Fuhrmann said. “We won four matches, and I don’t know how long it’s been since Parker has won four conference matches, but it’s been a while.’’
Ethan Zillmer defeated Austin Komz in three sets at No. 4 singles for the Vikings’ lone victory.
“Middleton is the best team in the conference, by far,” Fuhrmann said. “Our guys competed with them,’’
