Janesville School District releases 2009-10 calendar

— The Janesville School District has released its calendar for next school year. Dates include:

-- Aug. 27—Teachers report.

-- Sept. 1—First day of school is on this Tuesday.

-- Sept. 7—Labor Day; no school on this Monday.

-- Oct. 29 and 30—No school on this Thursday and Friday.

-- Nov. 25-27—No school on this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Thanksgiving is Nov. 26.

-- Dec. 23—Winter break begins on this Wednesday.

-- Jan. 4, 2010—School resumes on this Monday.

-- Jan. 22, 2010—No school on this Friday. End of first semester.

-- April 2, 2010—Spring break begins on this Friday.

-- April 12, 2010—School resumes on this Monday.

-- June 9, 2010—Last day of school for students.

-- June 10, 2010—Last day of school for teachers.
