WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a new survey to help the Janesville school district better information about how the closing of the G-M plant will affect next year's student enrollment.

— The Janesville school district is running another survey to get more data on student enrollment projections.

With the recent closing of the G-M plant, district officials need to find out how many families are leaving, staying, or splitting up.

The first survey, to obtain data on this subject, was conducted in February. Superintendent, Karen Schulte, says they obtained good data, but things have changed.

She says she's heard stories of some families splitting up, with one of the parents leaving to find work, while the other stays in Janesville with the kids.

The survey is getting more exposure because it's also running on the U.A.W. web site. It runs through June 5th.
