Local students celebrate "smoke-free Wisconsin" bill
BELOIT Students in the Rock County "Youth to Youth" organization are participating in Monday's celebration of the signing of the "Smoke Free Wisconsin" bill.
The students and Director of the organization, Debbie Fischer, are scheduled to attend the signing ceremony in the Governor's office. Two of the students and Fischer, were also invited to attend a special private celebration at the Governor's mansion at 5:30 Monday night.
Fischer says students in the group have working toward this day for 13 years by teaching students and adults about the dangers of smoking and second hand smoke.
