West shuts out Craig tennis team
n West 7, Craig 0—Madison West lost just four games in four singles matches to dominate Janesville Craig (2-6).
“I thought we’d be a little more competitive,” Craig coach Gary Hallowell said. “We just didn’t finish points. We did play competitively in doubles.”
Craig’s No. 1 doubles team of Ben Tanko and Steve Mickelson led 5-4 in the second set and was on the verge of forcing a decisive third set. But Mitch Polelle and Will Elsas of the Regents won three straight games to close out the set and the match.
