Janesville got on the board first when Sean MacDougall found the back of the net just 29 seconds into the match. But the Regents, a team comprised of players from Madison West and Edgewood high schools, answered with a goal from Tim Neumann and the score was knotted at 1-1 after the first period.

The Regents opened up a 4-1 lead on two more Neumann goals and Corey Elfman goal before Janesville’s Tyler O’Rourke scored with 59 seconds left in the first half.

Janesville came out firing in the third quarter, getting a goal from Sean Davis and three scores from Darian St. Michael around a pair of Regent goals to tie the match at 6-6 after three.
