Snappers defeat LunberKings
CLINTON, IOWA Relievers Bruce Pugh and Matthew Williams combined to hold the Clinton LumberKings scoreless on two hits through the final six innings to lead the visiting Beloit Snappers to a 5-2 victory in a rain-delayed Midwest League baseball game Wednesday.
Clinton held a 2-1 lead after three innings, but the Snappers took the lead for good in the fifth inning, scoring twice for a 3-2 advantage.
The Snappers’ Nathan Hanson ripped a two-run homer in the sixth for the final margin.
