— Relievers Bruce Pugh and Matthew Williams combined to hold the Clinton LumberKings scoreless on two hits through the final six innings to lead the visiting Beloit Snappers to a 5-2 victory in a rain-delayed Midwest League baseball game Wednesday.

Clinton held a 2-1 lead after three innings, but the Snappers took the lead for good in the fifth inning, scoring twice for a 3-2 advantage.

The Snappers’ Nathan Hanson ripped a two-run homer in the sixth for the final margin.
