— Craig High School is again honoring graduates who have made impressive marks in their lifetimes.

Three graduates will be enshrined on the Craig Honor Wall in a ceremony today. They are:

Charles T. Chivers, Craig High School class of 1971

The Rev. Chivers has dedicated his life as a full-time missionary and community leader, working with people with mental or physical disabilities.

At Craig, he was involved in football, weightlifting, band, and orchestra.

Chivers attended North Central University in Minneapolis, where he majored in Bible and pastoral studies and minored in Christian education. He was on the dean's list four consecutive years.

Chivers was music director for Brookdale Assembly of God Church in Brooklyn Center, Minn., and then associate pastor/minister of youth and music for Bethel Church in Rock Island, Ill.

In 1982, Chivers founded Special Touch Ministry in Waupaca. This non-profit, interdenominational organization serves people with disabilities across the nation. What began as a small summer camp attended by 32 people, doubled in attendance three consecutive years as Chivers' vision spread.

Chivers is the national representative for ministry to people with disabilities in the Assembly of God churches.

Alan Dunwiddie, Janesville High School class of 1941

Dunwiddie has shown his devotion to his hometown through numerous volunteer efforts.

In high school, he was the football manager, camera club president, newspaper photographer, and a Quill & Scroll member.

Dunwiddie studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology until WWII changed his life. He left school for the U.S. Army Air Force in 1943. Later, he earned a degree in mathematics from Beloit College and then attended graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis.

Returning to Janesville, he worked at M&I Bank, where he became president and later chairman of the board. In 1981, the Janesville Foundation hired him as president and executive director, a job he held until 1998. He then became chairman of the foundation's board of directors from 2004 to 2008.

Dunwiddie served on the Janesville School Board for nine years. In 1967, he was the president and building campaign chairman for the YMCA, vice president of the Sinnissippi Council Boy Scouts of America and the director and president of the Rock County Historical Society. He was a director of the Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation and the Greater Janesville Corp. He is an alumni trustee of Beloit College.

Jim Fitzgerald, Janesville High School class of 1944

Fitzgerald became one of Janesville's most successful entrepreneurs. His endeavors changed the face of the community.

In high school, Fitzgerald was senior class vice-president, newspaper sports editor, an intramural representative and a member of the golf team and yearbook staff.

Fitzgerald joined the Navy and completed officer's training at Notre Dame, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in naval science.

By starting the Fitzgerald Group, he was involved in many Janesville construction projects, including the city's first Holiday Inn, the Oasis restaurant and motel and the Sunnyside and Creston Park shopping centers.

Fitzgerald co-founded People's State Bank and Bank of Janesville and brought cable television to the area. He bought the Milwaukee Bucks and later the Golden State Warriors. He was involved in the creation of Softspikes and Laser Link Golf.

Fitzgerald is a co-founder of Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, which has raised over $27 million for research. He is a Wisconsin Sports Hall of Fame and Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame inductee. He was awarded honorary doctorates from UW-Whitewater and Baldwin-Wallace College.
