WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on local Congressman's concerns over Kenosha Chrysler plant closing

RSS

Congressman Paul Ryan of Janesville isn't ready to give up on the Chrysler manufacturing plant in Kenosha.

Ryan tells WCLO's Stan Milam show the announcement about its closing came as a surprise. He says he's beyond angry, because as recently as last week, officials were telling him no such decision would be made this year. Ryan plans to approach the parties concerned about keeping the plant open. He also says the Obama administration should rethink its involvement with the resturcturing.

The Republican says it makes no sense for American taxpayers to outsource their own jobs to Mexico.

Ryan makes a good point (and I hate to admit it): Why is Obama's administration getting into micromanaging the automobile companies? And for those who say because they've failed, I ask why don't they do so for the fat-cat bankers.
