Rock County Youth-2-Youth goes undercover to expose businesses selling tobacco products to minors.

Youth-2-Youth Director Debbie Fischer says the results of a recent operation are encouraging. Of 33 Beloit businesses checked, only two sold tobacco to minors. Fischer says four minors, with the support of police, entered the businesses, answering any questions about there age honestly. Fischer says the number of businesses selling tobacco to minors has radically dropped in just the last few years.

Statewide the rate was 35% in 2001.
