Siren test set for April 1st
The Rock County outdoor warning siren system is scheduled to be tested April 1st, weather permitting.
Rock County Emergency Management Coordinator Shirley Connors says it's been a long winter, and she's interested to see if all the sirens operate properly. The sirens have had fewer failures in recent years, after most were replaced with new and louder heads.
The test will be done in advance of Wisconsin Severe Weather Awareness Week planned to begin April 20th.
