Authorities says the suspects car was traveling on the bike path when it began to cross West Grand Avenue. As the vehicle crossed the road, it broad sided a squad car. The officer was able to give a description of the vehicle and suspects. Two were captured including the driver.

The officer was treated at the hospital and released.

kinda gives new meaning to the joke "If you don't like my driving, stay off the sidewalk"

And just how fast was the car going to have, apparently, disabled the squad car that the officer wasn't able to persue the car that hit him/her?

I argee rooster! And prevention! They were driving on the bike path???? Is this the 'river walk' along 51 in Beloit? Why on earth would you drive on that? But I guess some people just don't know how to hold their liquor and know the difference between the road and a walkway!
