— The race for Linn Town Board chairperson features an incumbent, who is completing his seventh consecutive term in office, and a former town board supervisor, who served seven terms in office.

Dave Bollweg (I)

Age: 76

Address: N1723 Fair Oaks Road, Lake Geneva.

Job: Retired detective at the Walworth County Sheriff's Office

Education: Lake Geneva High School; law enforcement courses.

Community service: None

Elected posts: Linn Town Board chairman, 1990-93, 1997-present.

Major campaign issues: "Seek border agreements with surrounding communities; control our budgets, as I have in the past; maintain open communication with town residents; and maintain office hours each day, as I have in the past."

Christine L. Jones

Age: 59

Address: W3746 Linton Road, Lake Geneva.

Job: Farmer

Education: Graduate of Badger High School

Community service: Linn 4-H leader; member of the Badger FFA Alumni; member of the Walworth County 4-H Senior Leaders Association.

Elected posts: Linn Town Board supervisor, 1994-2008.

Major campaign issues: "I feel that as town chair, I would be accountable to the taxpayers. There are many issues I feel need to be addressed, not the least of which are issues with road conditions, keeping residents informed of issues the town is facing, border agreements and monitoring costs and projects closely."
