The Beloit School Board has chosen three finalists for the job of superintendent.

Steve McNeal currently serves as Executive Director of Educational Programs for the Beloit School District. Before that he worked as a high school principal at Badger High School in the Lake Geneva district and in the Brodhead district for 11 years.

Dr. Barbara Thompson is currently superintendent of the New Glarus School District. Prior to that job, she served as a principal in the Madison School District and has teaching experience going back to 1976.

Milton Thompson currently works in the Kenosha Unified School District as Director of Title One, bilingual, summer school, and P5 programs. He was a principal before that, all in the Kenosha District.

The school board has now set up three more listening sessions for staff and the community before making their final decision. The forums will be held in the Elizabeth Reinholz Theater Tuesday, Wednesday, and next Monday. Staff only forums start at 3:30 and the community is then invited beginning at 4:45 each day.
