The Janesville School Board expects to hear from local law enforcement agencies about alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse among students.

Rock County Sheriff Bob Spoden is scheduled to talk about current trends the county is seeing, and collaborative efforts between the Sheriff's Office and schools. Janesville Acting Police Chief Dave Moore is expected to talk about his department's efforts to combat drug use in Janesville and current drug trends in the city.

The school board meeting is on a special night Monday, and starts an hour earlier than usual at 6pm.

once the board finds out that the kids are using drugs, imbibing in alcohol and smoking in the boys room (and probably girls room) then what. get ready for a study and some expensive proposals. lets see, i'm an old guy and this stuff went on way back then. just say no worked then as well as it does now. probably should bring in planned parenthood and let the board know that kids are having sex too.
