— Emergency responders found a man dead in his driveway Wednesday afternoon in Troy Township in northeastern Walworth County.

Eagle Fire Department responders found Dwayne J. Heitzman, 78, at 1 p.m. at N9684 Palmyra Road, Eagle, according to a news release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire department had responded to car and a truck on fire in the driveway, according to the release.

Firefighters contained the fire to the vehicles, the release stated.

The vehicles were not involved in a crash, and both belonged to Heitzman, Walworth County Coroner John Griebel said. Heitzman was alone at the scene, Griebel said.

The cause of death has not been determined, and an autopsy is scheduled for today, Griebel said. The incident is under investigation.

I'm sure most people would be amazed to find out that a car/truck battery can explode and be just like a BOMB.
.
You better know exactly what you're doing when messing with lead-acid batteries..I don't know about the other kind.

Could be he was jumping one with the other and the battery exploded. At least, that's what this sounds like to me.
