— Riverside Golf Course opens at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Tom Tautges, club pro, said the opening is about two weeks earlier than normal.

“We always look at April 1,” Tautges said. “We opened last year, because of the weather, on April 7.”

The ground is still a little moist, so carts will not be allowed.

“For this time of year, it’s in good shape,” Tautges said.

Tautges said Blackhawk Golf Course might open late next week, and it will definitely be open by March 30.

The course’s phone number is 757-3080.

Wrong about Cecelia's and the Gazette. We ran a story over the weekend that Cecelia's is open and taking reservations for golf and other things, complete with the phone number.
Whether a company advertises has no bearing on our news coverage.

Cecelia's has been open since Sunday. Of course you wouldn't know that because the Gazette fails to report for them! Could it be because they don't advertise with the Gazette? Annoying!
