— One of four candidates vying for three seats on the Williams Bay Village Board has withdrawn from the race.

Marshanell Ferguson, 50, of 405 Maple Lane, is withdrawing from the race, but her name still will appear on the ballot.

She said she and her family likely will move to Illinois by the end of the year, and she didn't think it was fair to continue campaigning if she soon would be unable to finish a term.

The three remaining candidates are Richard Chroust, who is completing his sixth term; Mary Roth, a retired accountant, and George F. Vlach, a retired police officer.
