Candidate dropping out of Edgerton race

EDGERTON — A candidate for Edgerton City Council is dropping out of the race.

Mike Hardy, candidate for the second aldermanic district, has dropped out of the race because he is moving out of Edgerton, he said.

That leaves incumbent Matt McIntyre running unopposed.

Hardy's name still will appear on the ballot, but he wants voters to "explore other options, including the current incumbent," he wrote in an e-mail to The Janesville Gazette.
