WCLO's Steve Benton talks with Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan about an effort to eliminate a wage increase for the next legislature
MADISON Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker and Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan are asking their colleagues to sign a letter that essentially asks the legislature to skip the next pay raise.
Sheridan says this is one way to react to the current economic conditions. Both Sheridan and Decker expect bipartisan support.
Senator Judy Robson, and Assembly Representatives, Chuck Benedict and Kim Hixson, have already signed the letter.
