JANESVILLE Janesville Convention and Visitors Bureau Director, Christine Rebout, is attending the Governor's Tourism Convention in La Crosse.
Rebout says she's hoping to learn about how tourism is affected by the economic downturn and how to better market tourist attractions.
She says many people are planning "stay-cations", where families affected by layoffs stay at home and take advantage of local events. She says Rock County is full of attractions for families affected by the economy.
The conference runs from Sunday, March 15th through Tuesday March 17th.
