Intoxicated driving arrests

-- TERRY J. SLATER, 20, of 1339 N. County M, Whitewater, at 1:39 a.m. today in the 2200 block of Pioneer Road, Janesville.

-- THOMAS J. KENDALL, 51, of 1120 Sentinel Drive, Janesville, at 2:16 a.m. today in the 2900 block of Pontiac Drive, Janesville.

-- JAMES E. DENSON, 48, Ripley, Tenn., at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Memphis, Tenn., on charges of child abuse and misdemeanor battery.


-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Park Avenue, Janesville. The landlord reported someone attempted to enter a vacant apartment using a fire poker and damaged a steel door worth $250.


-- HIGHWAY 59 EAST OF SALISBURY ROAD, LIMA TOWNSHIP, at 4:02 p.m. Sunday. A van driven by Mario A. Villarreal, 38, of N9578 Howard Road, Whitewater, crossed the centerline, went into a ditch and rolled. Teresa Villarreal, 37, was treated and released at Mercy Hospital. Jaquellin D. Villarreal, 7, and Jennifer M. Villarreal, 4, also were brought to Mercy Hospital but their conditions were unavailable because they are minors. Mario Villarreal was cited for driving too fast for conditions and a child restrain violation.

Fire calls

-- HOUSE FIRE at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday at 739 Stafford Road, Janesville. The fire was primarily contained to the family room and attic of the single-family ranch style home, resulting in $55,000 in damage. The cause continues to be investigated by the Janesville Fire Department. A neighbor reported the fire. No residents were home at the time. The Red Cross was called to provide assistance.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- BRANDON HERDMAN MCCOY, 22, W7772-8B Wisconsin Parkway, No. 29, Delavan, on Wednesday on South Second Street, Whitewater.

-- ROLANDO MARTINEZ-SANCHEZ, 39, of 1118 S. Wells St., No. 2, Lake Geneva, at 11:12 p.m. Sunday on South Main Street, Walworth. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge.
