Expulsion numbers rise for Janesville schools

The number of expulsions in the Janesville school district is up more than 25% compared to last year.
24 students have been expelled so far this year, compared to 19 during the same time period last year. The latest round of expulsions includes two high school students. One was expelled for bringing marijuana to school with the intent to deliver. That student could return early, after meeting a number of requirments, including drug counseling.
The other student is expelled permanently for refusing to obey the rules.
