Whitewater women fall

— The College of St. Benedict upset UW-Whitewater, 67-59, in an NCAA Division III regional women’s basketball here Saturday.

The Warhawks trailed 39-32 at the half. Whitewater rallied led 46-44 in the second half for its lone lead of the game.

Tiffany Morton scored 16 points to lead the 10th ranked Warhawks, who finish the season 23-4. Kelsey Hendrickson added 13 points and Heidi Sonntag chipped in 11 points.

With this win, St. Benedict advances to the sectionals of the NCAA Tournament next weekend against Washington University at St. Louis.
