WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on First Lady Jessica Doyle's reading adventure

First Lady Jessica Doyle and State Secretary of Children and Families Reggie Bicha visited the Rock-Walworth Comprehensive Family Services Head Start Center in Beloit Thursday to read to the three and four year olds.

The visit was part of "Read Across America" week.

Center Director Connie Robers says the children were overjoyed to have visitors read to them, but didn't understand the significance of the event. Robers says this type of activity is very important for the children's development. She also says Doyle and Bicha are excellent story tellers.
