Williams Bay, Faith Christian to match up in regional semifinals

Jack Slovick’s fast start paid off Tuesday night for Williams Bay High School’s boys basketball team.


Slovick scored 12 of his 20 points in a 28-15 first quarter, and the Bulldogs went on to a 75-54 victory over visiting Johnson Creek (2-19) in a WIAA Division 4 regional opener.


The Bulldogs (11-10) play at Williams Bay Faith Christian (15-6) in a regional semifinal Thursday night. The winner battles Burlington Central (12-8) or Albany on Saturday for a berth in the Fort Atkinson Sectional.


Slovick and Aaron Rogers each had three three-pointers, and the Bulldogs finished with 11 threes on the night. Ben Miller had 12 points, and Rogers finished with 11 for the Bulldogs.

? Faith Christian 60, Trinity Academy 39—Josh Sass scored 18 of his 28 points in the second half to pace the Eagles to victory in a Division 4 regional opener.


The Eagles trailed 24-22 at the half, but gained a 16-4 edge in the third quarter to take control.


Faith Christian (16-5) hosts Williams Bay in a regional semifinal Thursday. The Eagles will be going for a two-game season sweep of the Bulldogs.

Beau Benner had 17 points and Tyler Pierce added 16 for Juda (6-15).
