Layoffs possible in Janesville Schools

The Janesville School District's Director of Human Services is working out a staffing plan for potential layoffs.

Interim Superintendent Karen Schulte says if there is lower enrollment in Janesville schools there will be layoffs. She makes the comments in a weekly video address on the school district's website. School Board members are expected to be informed of the cuts Friday.

Suggest removal

Why can't administration be cut and some of the top officials take pay cuts before any teaching staff is cut? A slightly better ratio of student/teacher would only help our kids.
