Rock County

-- SARAH A. MCCARTHY, 20, of 841 E. Milwaukee St., Janesville, at 2:10 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Parker Drive and Wall Street, on charges of second-degree reckless injury and resisting arrest, after a 32-year-old woman was stabbed in the back with a knife. The victim was treated and released at Mercy Hospital. McCarthy also was cited for underage drinking. The incident was part of a disturbance involving a large group of people at the intersection. No other information was immediately available.

-- JILLIAN M. CHRISTIANSEN, 33, of 222 N. Franklin St., No. 102, Janesville, at 9:15 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Elizabeth and Chatham streets, Janesville, on Rock County warrants charging two counts of driving while intoxicated and two counts of failure to appear in court.


-- DISTURBANCE in the 2300 block of Spruce Street, Janesville, at 10:59 p.m. Saturday. Multiple callers said a large number of young people were fighting in the street. At 11:05 p.m., in a related incident at the corner of East Centerway and Garfield Avenue, a 15-year-old Janesville boy was referred to juvenile authorities on a charge of disorderly conduct.

-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported Thursday in the 400 block of South Parker Drive, Janesville.

-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported Wednesday in the 3900 block of Starbright Lane, Janesville. The resident reported screens had been cut.

-- BURGLARY reported Friday in the 1400 block of Holiday Drive, Janesville. A Packard Notebook laptop computer was taken.

-- WEST MILBRANDT ROAD AT HIGHWAY 104 IN ALBANY TOWNSHIP, at 10:41 p.m. Friday, a vehicle driven by Thomas J. Alisankus, 50 of Evansville, was headed west on Milbrandt Road and avoided a deer in road. The driver then missed the stop sign at Highway 104, went through the intersection, into a ditch and a cornfield, striking a tree. Alisankus was wearing a seatbelt, and a side airbag deployed. He was transported with non-life threatening injuries.
