Rock County manufacturers are advised to stay competitive by Doug Loon of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

He says, as the country emerges from this recession, business has to be competitive in the global marketplace. Loon told a gathering of Forward Janesville and Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce members Wednesday, several legislative issues currently under consideration in Washington, may have a big impact on local business. They include health care reform, energy policy, and the Employee Free Choice Act.

Loon addressed the group during a luncheon at Glen Erin Golf Club south of Janesville.
