Arrests

-- MONTREL C. ZINN, 17, of 2519 Lexington Drive, Janesville, at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday at Rockport Road and Jackson Street on a warrant charging attempted armed robbery, party to a crime. The warrant is in relation to a Nov. 26 incident in the 700 block of Kellogg Avenue.


-- DANIEL GIL REYES, 28, of 11028 S. Smythe Road, Beloit, at 4 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging armed robbery. Gil Reyes is accused of robbing Jan's K-Market, 11744 S. County K, Newark Township, on June 9.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- AMARIO W. LEON PETTIS, 43, of 510 Rockport Road, Janesville, at 7:50 p.m. Monday at Cherry Street and West Van Buren Street, Janesville.


-- LUKE E. TAAFFE, 22, of 633 S. Main St., Janesville, at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday at Garfield and Carrington, Janesville, on a warrant. He also was arrested on charges of battery and criminal damage to property.


-- DUANE C. JEWELL, 47, of 1508 Primrose Lane, Janesville, at 5:30 p.m. Monday at home on a warrant charging fifth-offense drunken driving.


Reported

-- BURGLARY reported at 3:47 p.m. Monday in the 4500 block of Southwyck Drive, Janesville. A 60-inch television, watch, gold chain and picture frames valued at $3,200 were reported stolen.


-- SEXUAL ASSAULT to a juvenile reported at 9:30 a.m. Monday in 6200 block of South Highway 51, Rock Township. The suspect is known to the victim, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office report.


Fire calls

-- RESIDENTIAL FIRE at 10:54 p.m. Monday at 15309 W. Highway 59 in Magnolia Township, 5 miles south of Evansville. The fire started in a clothes dryer vent on the first floor of a two-story home. Although the house remains intact, there is extensive fire and smoke damage estimated at $35,000. Residents were not home during the fire but reported it upon returning home. Nobody was hurt. The Evansville Fire Department along with Edgerton, Albany and Brooklyn fire departments extinguished the blaze.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- JAMES L. MESSEL, 64, Brodhead, at 12:59 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, in Brodhead. It is listed as his fourth drunken-driving arrest. He also was arrested on a charge of operating after revocation.


-- AGRIPINO RAMIREZ ESCOBAR, 20, Brodhead, at 9:38 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of 1st Center Avenue, Brodhead, on charges of operating while under the influence of a controlled substance, operating while suspended and defective passenger headlamp.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- JAMES R. REESE, 49, Sleepy Hollow, Ill., at 12:45 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of Main Street, Lake Geneva. He also was cited for unsafe backing.


-- THOMAS C. FRY, 24, W4789 Remer Road, Elkhorn, at 10:35 p.m. Thursday on Main Street at Elmwood Avenue, Lake Geneva. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge. He also was cited for speeding and operating after revocation.


-- CAITLIN S. DOONER, 22, Woodstock, Ill., at 1:45 a.m. Thursday on Townline Road at Andria Drive, Lake Geneva. She also was cited for improper tail lamps.
