National Weather Service officials are still investigating a tornado reported near the town of Milton on Tuesday.

Officials from the service's Sullivan office are scheduled to visit the area around 9 a.m. today.

A thunderstorm developed quickly around 7:50 p.m. over Edgerton. An airline pilot reported the storm produced a funnel cloud about 3 miles southeast of the city, according to the service.

Members of the public reported a tornado on the ground near Clear Lake Road by 8:10 p.m.

A Rock County dispatcher said the storm did cause some minor damage to trees and power lines, but no homes or vehicles were reported damaged on Tuesday night.

Two vehicle accidents were reported in the area, but no indication was given that they were connected to the storm, the dispatcher said.
