After working through several configurations, the Janesville School Board decides new part time custodians are the best fit for the school district.
Commissioner Diedre Richard made the motion to allow as many part timers as necessary within the time and cost parameters.
Manager of Transportation and Purchasing Steve Eichman discussed the plans with the school board Tuesday. The board ultimately agreed to increase the custodial workforce by as many part-time custodians that would fit in the 48-hour period.
The board would not pay benefits, which saves about $30,000.
