Legion notches league win

BURLINGTON — The Janesville American Legion baseball team improved to 4-0 in Lakes Area League play with a 5-1 victory at Burlington on Monday night.

Janesville had nine hits, including an RBI double by Tyler Teubert, to go to 5-2 overall. Teubert and Zach Bayreuther each had two hits.

Brett Fredricks earned the victory. B.J. Scharenbroch pitched three shutout innings in relief. The two combined to hold Burlington to five hits and the only run scored against them was unearned.

Janesville will host Richmond at 7 p.m. today at Riverside Park.
