WCLO's Steve Benton reports the Red Cross has found a way to convince young donors to give blood

RSS

— Want a special VIP pass to the "Warped Tour?" All you need to do is donate blood at an upcoming Red Cross blood drive.

Red Cross spokesman, Sarah Stevermer, says the next blood drive slated for this area is Wednesday, June 24th from 11 am to 5 pm at the Holiday Inn Express in Janesville.

Stevermer says the passes will get concert-goers some special privileges, including access to some secure areas, but they are not tickets to the venue.

The "Warped Tour" will be at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee July 30th. Stevermer says this is the second year of the promotion and so far they've attracted over 300,000 new donors.
