Clinton wins Beloit Snappers series finale

BELOIT — The Clinton LumberKings jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first two innings Wednesday night and used five pitchers to preserve a 4-1 victory over the Beloit Snappers in Midwest League baseball.

Beloit collected only six hits and went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position. Ramon Santana’s RBI in the third accounted for Beloit’s only run.
