Supplies collected for troops, food pantry

— A supplies collection for troops stationed in the Middle East and for the Delavan Food Bank will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Tower Park, Walworth Avenue.

A collection table will be set up next to the registration tent for the "Cars That Time Forgot" show.

Military items needed are phone cards, AA and AAA lithium batteries, white tube socks, travel-size shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, small Gold Bond foot powder, single serving of coffee or trail mix, small powdered creamers, card games and puzzles. Glass containers will not be accepted.

Food pantry items needed are canned meats, canned vegetables, canned fruits, boxed cereals, macaroni and cheese, dessert mixes, toilet paper, jellies or jams, paper towels and disposable diapers.
