— The bats were silent Sunday afternoon for the Janesville Aces.

Janesville’s semi-pro baseball team managed only 12 hits in losing a doubleheader to the Kenosha Kings in Wisconsin State League play at Riverside Park.

Kenosha won the first game, 2-0, and followed that up with a come-from-behind 4-3 win in the second game.

Janesville (3-7) led 2-0 in the second game on RBI singles by Carl DeMarco and Jeff Jacobson in the bottom of the first, but the Kings (5-0) scored three runs in the third to take the lead for good.

Tom Klawitter was the tough-luck loser in Game 1. He gave up one unearned run in 6-plus innings but got no support from the Aces’ offense.

Janesville hosts Manitowoc in a league doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Park.
