Beloit Snappers waste 11 hits in loss to Timber Rattlers

GRAND CHUTE — The visiting Beloit Snappers pounded out 11 hits but lost 3-1 to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Midwest League baseball Tuesday.

The Rattlers scored twice in the fourth inning for a 2-0 lead. The Snappers cut the lead to 2-1 in the top of the fifth, but were blanked the rest of the way.

Snappers’ starter Brad Tippett (5-3) allowed both runs in the fifth inning to absorb the loss. Tibbet surrendered five hits, walked one and notched nine strikeouts.
