Edgewood tops Edgerton baseball
Madison Edgewood rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the first inning to defeat Edgerton High’s baseball team, 7-3, in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal game today at Dodgeville.
Portage defeated Prairie du Chien, 12-5, in the first semfinal game and plays Edgewood for the championship at 4:30 p.m. today.
Edgerton’s first three batters in the game reached base on errors, and Kyle Johnson followed with an RBI double as the Crimson Tide grabbed its 2-0 lead.
Robert Parman tied it with a two-run double in the bottom of the first. Edgewood then took the lead for good at 3-2 on a fielder’s choice.
