Hawkeyes will be homecoming foe
Wisconsin’s 2009 homecoming opponent is border rival Iowa. The two teams will battle for the Heartland Trophy, beginning at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17 at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Big Ten announced the game time but the television coverage is still to be determined.
The two teams have met 84 times, and the series is tied 41-41-2. Iowa currently has possession of the Heartland Trophy courtesy of its 38-16 win in Iowa City, Iowa, last season. The last time the teams met in Madison, in 2007, the Badgers were victorious by a score of 17-13.
UW is 52-44-5 all-time in homecoming games and has won five consecutive homecoming games. Last year, Wisconsin rallied for a 27-17 win over Illinois on Oct. 25.
