Beliot Snappers, Tippett fall at Peoria
PEORIA, ILL. Rebel Ridling hit a homer and a double, and Nelson Perez drove in two runs to lead Peoria past visiting Beloit, 4-1, in Midwest League action Thursday night.
Peoria scored twice in the fourth and twice in the sixth off of Snapper starter Bradley Tippett, who fell to 5-2.
Beloit took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Ramon Santana hit a triple on a liner to right. Michael Harrington walked, and Santana scored on Juan Richardson’s sacrifice fly.
The two teams conclude a four-game series tonight. The Snappers then begin a four-game series at Grand Chute against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Saturday.
