Beloit's Alcohol Beverage License Control Committee is keeping a close eye on several local establishments.

Police Captain Vince Sciame says the committee plans to speak with the owners of Rose's Soulful Restaurant & Lounge on Shirland Avenue about recent disturbances and overcrowding. He says committee members want to be proactive about the incidents since they occurred within a short time frame and since the weather is getting warmer.

The committee also wants to see a representative from Summers Pub on Prairie Avenue, where a shooting incident took place last weekend.

Four businesses also failed a recent compliance check and sold alcohol to underage persons. Sciame says the compliance check included 27 businesses.
