— The Beloit Snappers had plenty of chances to pass the Great Lakes Loons, but they lacked a clutch hit in a 4-2 loss in Midwest League baseball here Wednesday.

The Snappers collected nine hits but left 11 runners stranded. Angel Morales and Jon Waltenbury collected the Snappers’ RBIs.

Snappers starter Daniel Berlind (3-10) took the loss, allowing four runs in five innings.
