BTC in line for more federal funds

WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on additional federal money possible for Blackhawk Technical College

Blackhawk Technical college may be getting more federal money to help retrain displaced workers.

With the Janesville-Beloit area experiencing the highest unempoyment rate in the state, BTC is working to meet the educatonal needs of displaced workers. BTC President Eric Larson says federal funding helps. He says close to $1 million is expected to arrive in January. This may only be the beginning.

Larson says another $1 million has been included in a federal appropriations bill next year.
