Lansing pulls away, easily handles Beloit Snappers

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers held a 1-0 lead through three innings before the visiting Lansing Lugnuts exploded for a 10-1 victory in Midwest League baseball Monday afternoon.

Ramon Santana ripped an RBI double in the third inning to put the Snappers ahead 1-0, but it all Lugnuts the rest of the way.

Lansing rallied for four runs in the fifth inning to control the game. The Lugnuts notched 16 hits, including three home runs.

Liam Hendriks (1-2) allowed six runs on 11 hits, including a solo home run through the first six innings in taking the loss. Three Lansing pitchers held the Snappers to four hits.
