Fair names candidates for 2009 king and queen

A field of 37 young men and women will vie for the titles of Rock County 4-H Fair king and queen during the royalty coronation at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Rock County 4-H Fairgrounds grandstand.

The 2009 candidates are:

Avon 4-H

- Cody Spooner is a six-year member of the Avon 4-H Club and the son of Doug and Cindy Spooner. His projects have included swine and beef.

n Kaitylyn Cook is the daughter of Richard and Wendy Cook and a nine-year member of the Avon 4-H Club. Her projects have included rabbits, dogs, horseless horse, photography, drawing and painting and youth leadership.

Badger 4-H

- Aaron Messier is the son of John and Kathy Messier and a five-year member of the Badger 4-H Club. His projects have included youth leadership, drawing and painting and photography.

Bradford 4-H

- Shane Brandl is a nine-year member of the Bradford 4-H Club and the son of Russell and Barbara Brandl. His projects have included beef, swine, youth leadership, poultry and computers.

n Chelsea Kuhlow is the daughter of Darin Kuhlow and Tammy Roehl and a nine-year member of the Bradford 4-H Club. Her projects have included swine, leather craft, photography, foods, crops, dogs, cats, cavies and rocketry.

Clinton 4-H

- Tyler Schimke is the son of Mike and Susan Schimke and a 12-year member of the Clinton 4-H Club. His projects have included models, vet science, goats, cavy, rabbits, small engines, drawing and painting, rocketry, poultry, youth leadership, photography, woodworking, self determined and child development.

- Katelyn Kane is a member of the Clinton 4-H Club and the daughter of Dan and Diane Kane. Her projects have included dogs, nature space, crochet, youth leadership, cats, photography, shooting sports and bicycles.

Consolidated 4-H

- Jordan Alf is the son of Jill Alf and a 13-year member of the Consolidated 4-H Club. His projects have included sheep, vet science, youth leadership, shooting sports, visual arts, photography, computers, woodworking and field crops.

- Quinnel Furseth is a nine-year member of the Consolidated 4-H Club and the daughter of Jon Furseth and Richell McWilliams. Her projects have included drawing and painting, photography, visual arts, woodworking, clothing, knitting and cavies.

Evansville 4-H

- Ann O’Leary is the daughter of Craig and Linda O’Leary and an 11-year member of the Evansville 4-H Club. Her projects have included dairy, clothing, youth leadership, child development, home environment and photography.

Evansville FFA

- Taylor Schuetz is a four-year member of the Evansville FFA and the daughter of Mike and Deb Schuetz. Her projects have included beef, swine and visual arts.

Fulton

- Steven Linsley is the son of Jim and Jeannie Linsley and a 12-year member of the Fulton 4-H Club. His projects have included beef, swine, nature space, shooting sports, woodworking and crops.

- Katie Demrow is an 11-year member of the Fulton 4-H Club and the daughter of Ken and Jody Demrow. Her projects have included rabbits, photography, visual arts, beef, crops, youth leadership, nature space, child development and poultry.

Janesville Craig FFA

- Kelsey Andrews is the daughter of Troy and Kathy Andrews and a four-year member of the Janesville Craig FFA. Her projects have included small animal care and management and agriculture sales.

Janesville Parker FFA

- Jacob Johnson is the son of Jay and Jeanne Johnson and a three-year member of the Janesville Parker FFA. His projects have included mechanical science, gardening and crops.

Janesville Trailblazers

- Daniel Cottier is the son of John Cottier and Theresa Kuene and a two-year member of the Janesville Trailblazers 4-H Club. His projects have included electricity and woodworking.

- Brianna Hanus is a nine-year member of the Janesville Trailblazers 4-H and the daughter of Mike and Fran Hanus. Her projects have included woodworking, visual arts, drawing and painting, photography, sheep, and child development.

Johnstown 4-H

- Austin Heath is the son of Jerry and Robin Heath and a seven-year member of the Johnstown 4-H Club. His projects have included rabbits, swine, archery and gun safety.

- Sarah Barlass is the daughter of Mike and Louise Barlass and a four-year member of the Johnstown 4-H Club. Her projects have included preservation, photography and home environment.

La Prairie 4-H

- Allison Funk is an 11-year member of the La Prairie 4-H Club and the daughter of David and Julie Funk. Her projects have included dairy, swine, photography, home environment, drawing and painting, visual arts, sewing, floral and youth leadership.

Lima 4-H

- Joshua Kyle is the son of Howard and Nora Kyle and a five-year member of the Lima 4-H Club. His projects have included archery, swine, poultry, leather craft and woodworking.

- Audree Henn is the daughter of Patrick and Shirley Henn and a nine-year member of the Lima 4-H Club. Her projects have included leather craft, visual arts, woodworking, horse and pony, ceramics, jewelry, metal art work, clothing, drawing and painting, swine and youth leadership.

Magnolia 4-H

- Audrey Hurley is the daughter of Mike and Monica Hurley and a 10-year member of the Magnolia 4-H Club. Her projects have included poultry, swine, rabbits, youth leadership, visual arts, foods and nutrition, dairy, cats, shooting sports, dogs and sewing.

Milton 4-H

- Jeremiah Clift is the son of John Clift and Trisha Zink and an eight-year member of the Milton 4-H Club. His projects have included beef, swine, goats, photography, drawing and painting, cavy and hamster, gun safety, archery, woodworking, rocketry, models and rabbits.

- Ashley Spatola is a five-year member of the Milton 4-H Club and the daughter of Dennis and Christine Pike. Her projects have included sewing, home environment, computers, visual arts, and drawing and painting.

Newark Beloit 4-H

- Jared Appel is a nine-year member of the Newark Beloit 4-H Club and the son of Henry and Laura Appel. His projects have included small engines, home environment, models and photography.

- Samantha Bryant is the daughter of Gregory and Tommie Bryant and a nine-year member of the Newark Beloit 4-H Club. Her projects have included goats, clothing, shooting sports, foods, home environment, poultry, knitting, photography, visual arts and youth leadership.

Newark Pioneers

- Timothy Wells is the son of Jon and Edie Wells and a 10-year member of the Newark Pioneers 4-H Club. His projects have included archery, foods, photography and computers.

- Katlin Zeich is the daughter of Barry and Tana Zeich and an eight-year member of the Newark Pioneers 4-H Club. Her projects have included drawing and painting, visual arts, photography, woodworking, foods, nature space, crocheting and electricity.

New Rock 4-H

- Samantha Fredricks is a five-year member of the New Rock 4-H Club and the daughter of Claire Fredricks. Her projects have included clothing, home environment, nature space, youth leadership, self determined, photography, visual arts and child development.

Porter 4-H

- Andrew Tracy is a five-year member of the Porter 4-H Club and the son of Jody and Tony Foster and Wayne and Val Tracy. His projects have included drawing and painting, visual arts, youth leadership, photography and archery.

- Ashley Revels is the daughter of Rolland and Linda Revels and a seven-year member of the Porter 4-H Club. Her projects have included clothing, style revue, foods, photography, drawing and painting, home environment, rabbits, visual arts and flowers.

Rock Valley 4-H

- Alli Chilson is the daughter of Tom and Tammy Chilson and a second-year member of the Rock Valley 4-H Club. Her projects have included photography, food preservation and foods.

Spring Valley 4-H

- Ciel Eckard-Lee is the son of Jonas and Heather Eckard-Lee and a four-year member of the Spring Valley 4-H Club. His projects have included horse and pony, drawing and painting and photography.

- Sabrina Johnson is a six-year member of the Spring Valley 4-H Club and the daughter of Bruce and Stephanie Johnson. Her projects have included gun safety, horse and pony, woodworking, home environment and visual arts.

Turtle 4-H

- Craig Smith is the son of Eugene and Shawn Smith and a 10-year member of the Turtle 4-H Club. His projects have included dairy and shooting sports.

- Valerie Dautermann is the daughter of Kim and Brenda Dautermann and an 11-year member of the Turtle 4-H Club. Her projects have included home environment, gardening, shooting sports, visual arts, drawing and painting, poultry, rabbits and beef
