A "walk through history" at Fourth Ward walking tour

Janesville's Historic Commission is hosting a walking tour of the historic homes in the city's Fourth Ward neighborhood.

Chairman Rich Fletcher says although some of the buildings have been remodeled, the fine details show through and you can tell the homes were well-made. Fletcher leads the tours that sometimes draw a crowd of 100 people. He says visitors can expect to see a wide variety of homes, from large mansions to smaller homes of workers. Two churches are also featured on Saturday's walking tour.

The tour begins at 9:00 AM at the Armory, 10 South High St.
