Beloit Snappers win in 10

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers skipped past the visiting Cedar Rapids Kernals, 2-1, in 10 innings for a Midwest League baseball victory Wednesday.

The Snappers’ Angel Morales scored the winning run from second base on James Beresford’s one-out ground ball to shortstop. Morales singled to lead off the inning.

Daniel Rams socked a one-out solo home run in the fourth inning to put Beloit ahead 1-0. Cedar Rapids tied it in the top of the ninth on an RBI triple off Beloit starter Brad Tippett.

Reliever Billy Bullock (1-0) gained the victory, blanking Cedar Rapids through 1 1-3 innings.
