Utica derails Albion
Chris Stokstad and Nick Helstad combined to go 9-for-11 with five RBIs Sunday to lead Utica to a 10-2 over Albion, the West Division leader.
Mike Nanstad, who has been nearly unhittable all season, suffered the loss for Albion (9-4).
In other games, Lodi (8-5) took advantage of seven Orfordville errors in a 4-2 win.
Stoughton rallied for four runs in the seventh inning thanks to back-to-back RBI doubles by Dave Hansen and Eric Engler in upending Evansville, 6-3.
-- Lake Mills 3, Whitewater 1—Travis Meyers drove in two runs, and Keith McFarland had three hits and an RBI as host Lake Mills (4-9) held on for the East Division win.
-- Fort Atkinson 8, Cambridge 2— Bobby Bastien had four hits and three RBIs as first-place Fort Atkinson (12-4) coasted to the East Division win.
-- Jefferson 13, Deerfield 2 (8)—John Ristow homered during a four-run fifth, and Dan Doebreiner drove in three runs as Jefferson (8-5) beat host Deerfield (5-8).
